FC Las Vegas players (U10 - U19) will have speed and agility training each week concentrating on increasing, speed, agility, vertical leap, core strength, balance, and flexibility. The program also puts an emphasis on injury prevention with specific attention given to ACL injuries.

The program itself is broken down into many specific exercises including, footwork, technical running, cutting, hurdles, power running, over-speed running, strength exercises, and stretching. Each weekly training session will consist of several different drills designed to improve the individual player's and the team's athleticism.

Please Note: Athletes should arrive 10 minutes early to warm up.

Cool Down

Distance for cool down drills is 18 yards.

  1. Jog out and back 2 times
  2. A skip slow 2 times
  3. Outside ins 1 time
  4. Inside outs 1 time

Stretching

Stretching should be performed after each practice and game as soon as the cool down is done.
